4:30 – 5:15PM CHARLIE CHRISTMAS: JOURNEY OF AN OKLAHOMA SUPER HERO (CONFERENCE C)
Outsiders Productions presents a panel discussion of their epic journey in creating the award-winning, gritty super-hero origin film, "The Unusual (Calling of) Charlie Christmas". "Charlie Christmas" is a feature-length micro-budget vigilante movie, created and shot entirely in Oklahoma. The cast and crew will present clips from the movie and discuss creating a super-hero origin story from initial idea through completion of the film, and discuss what it takes to make an independent movie that plays (and wins) in film festivals across the country.

Learn how to generate ideas, sculpt them into characters, conflict, and resolution, a skill that will help you write any kind of inventive narrative. Mel Odom is a science fiction author that has written over 180 books covering all types of genres.

In this panel, Ron Wright, Ph.D. & Paul Jones, Ph.D. from Southern Nazarene University will explore psychological and theological themes in AMC’s television series, The Walking Dead. Specifically, they will explore themes around understanding human nature, ethics, the link between physiology, behavior, and the imago dei, and the importance of meaning through analysis of episodes and seasons via theoretical and empirical psychological models, as well as theological frameworks.

Welcome to the Modern Middle Ages. A panel covering the activites and history of the Society for Creative Anachronism. A modern day worldwide organization dedicated to the study and recreation of the activities and life of people from 550AD through 1650AD. The panel will cover the history of the SCA, through what the SCA has evolved to today. Find out about fighting with sword, axe and rapier. Find out how to take care of the day to day needs such as food and clothing. Come find out about one of the premier historical study and reenactment groups in the world today. There will be a question and answer time so come with your questions.

7:00 – 7:45PM DECADE OF THE DEAD: A ZOMBIE-VERSARY WITH AARON SAGERS (CONFERENCE B) Ten years ago, the dead came back to life in a big way, and the zombie genre has been shambling along ever since. From "28 Days Later," "Shaun Of The Dead," "The Zombie Survival Guide," "The Walking Dead" comic, "Dawn of the Dead" remake and more, 2003/04 was a period that kickstarted the current wave of undead heads. With genre fiction selling at an all-time high, it's no wonder that people are talking about the roles women play in science fiction, fantasy, and horror. How do SFF genre writers deal with creating strong, realistic female characters that defy stereotypes? And how can readers, gamers, and film-goers help promote believable, interesting characters of every gender and make the world of genre fiction continue to be progressive and meaningful? That's what we'll be talking about on this panel.

11:30 – 12:15PM HOW TO EDIT COMICS WITH SPIDER-MAN’S DANNY FINGEROTH & SHE-HULK’S RENEE WITTERSTAETTER (CONFERENCE C)
A comics or graphic novel editor plays many roles simultaneously: parent, sibling, therapist, good cop and bad cop, sympathetic friend, hardnosed boss, cheerleader, confidant, and many more roles. In this fascinating panel, former Marvel editors Renee Witterstaetter (She-Hulk; Eva Ink Artist group) and Danny Fingeroth (Spider-Man; How to Create Comics from Script to Print) discuss the nuts and bolts of editing as well as the zaniness of the comics business in the ‘80s and ‘90s. Renee is currently president of Little Eva Ink Publishing and Eva Ink Artist Group, which represents artists and writers including Michael Golden (www.evainkartistgroup). Renee will also talk about his current projects as well as projects by the artists she represents at Eva Ink Artist group. Danny will bring you up to date on his current and future projects.

How the evolution of the story-telling medium in graphic novels and film opens new horizons for classic themes to emerge in new forms from 300 to The Matrix.

Rob Liefeld is an American comic book writer, illustrator, and publisher, a prominent artist in the 1990s. In the early ‘90s, self-taught artist Liefeld became prominent due to his work on Marvel Comics' The New Mutants and later X-Force. In 1992, he and several other popular Marvel illustrators left the company to found Image Comics, which started a wave of comic books owned by their creators rather than by publishers. The first book published by Image Comics was Rob'sYoungblood #1. His creations Deadpool, Cable, Youngblood and X-Force helped change the comic book landscape and remain staples of both Marvel and Image comics. Danny Fingeroth (Superman on the Couch: What Superheroes Really Tell Us About Ourselves and Our Society; Spider-Man) moderates.

Nerdy Girls is a fledgling non-profit organization with chapters in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Nashville with the mission of uniting women of all ages with nerdy interests and support them in their endeavors, particularly those interested in STEM. We consider a women-only group to be a "hack" in order to provide support for women who want to develop their skills and interests not only for themselves but for the communities around us. Plus, Nerdy Girls like to have fun and geek out together! Members of the Oklahoma City and Tulsa chapters will discuss the start of Nerdy Girls, our experiences with the group, and why a women-centric group is only a bandaid for a much larger problem.

Mark Bagley has been drawing comics professionally since winning the Marvel Try-out Contest in 1983. Bagley remains one of the most sought after pencilers in the industry, his storytelling abilities and elegant style always in demand. From the New Warriors to Amazing Spider-Man to Thunderbolts to Ultimate Spider-Man to Batman to the Fantastic Four, Bagley has been part of some of the most important storylines in comics history. Mark’s former editor Danny Fingeroth (New Warriors; Amazing Spider-Man) speaks with Mark about his amazing career.

2:30 – 3:15PM THE ART OF SATURDAY MORNING CARTOON PRODUCTION WITH ANIMATOR & DIRECTOR TOM COOK (CONFERENCE A)
Wizard World is proud to present world-renown animator Tom Cook (Tarzan; Flash Gordon; He-Man and the Masters of the Universe; She-Ra Princess of Power) to Tulsa! This panel will be a demonstration of the steps taken to bring an idea from script to screen. Cook will begin with a short story of how he became an animator back in the late 1970s and then describe the different departments in an animation studio and what they do to move the development of the cartoon forward. Tom will have a few scenes he has worked on over the years on video and then will open the floor for questions about either the process or any other question you may have. So come out and see first-hand how your favorite cartoons were made!

Veteran character actor Robert Englund has appeared in over 75 feature films and starred in four TV series. He has starred alongside Oscar-winners Henry Fonda, Susan Sarandon and Jeff Bridges. Since 1984 he's achieved international fame as the iconic boogeyman Freddy Krueger in the hit franchise A Nightmare on Elm Street and its seven sequels. 4:00 – 4:30PM MICHAEL ROOKER VERSUS THE AUDIENCE (BALLROOM A)
Michael Rooker, who burst on the scene more than two decades ago in the title role in Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, also had key roles in Cliffhanger, The Bone Collector, Mississippi Burning, Sea of Love and Days of Thunder. While many have fit the brute, villain and psychopath type, he has also shown versatility in numerous “good guy” roles in his career, none more apparent than the love-hate fan favorite Merle Dixon on AMC’s acclaimed series, The Walking Dead. Moreover, Rooker’s star continues to rise as with Marvel’s intergalactic superhero team, Guardians of the Galaxy. Eric Burton is an award winning special effects makeup artist. He has worked on several movies and for 5 of the top 10 haunted houses in the U.S. His work has appeared in magazines and comic books. Eric is also is a steampunk artisan and one of the most recognizable faces of steampunk at this time. Now he brings his talents to the Wizard World stage! Join Eric in a hands-on panel teaching you how to make your costume’s special effects come to life!

5:00 – 5:15PM SCREENWRITING FOR FILM AND TELEVISION: HOW TO MOVE YOUR CONCEPT FROM AN IDEA TO SCRIPT TO SCREEN (CONFERENCE B)
Learn the creative process behind screenwriting and what it takes to move just an idea into a full-fledged production from an industry professional. Adam Simon is a native Californian that began acting at an early age. Fresh out of college minoring in theater Adam began working as a Close Protection Specialist. While training as an actor, Adam offered protective services to business professionals and celebrities all around the world.

In 2010 Adam was hired as a 3D technical assistant at Cameron/Pace Group LLC in Burbank California (founded by legendary directors and cinematographers James Cameron and Vince Pace). Adam worked as a Sales Producer for Cameron/Pace while attending the Joanne Baron D.W. Brown School of acting in Santa Monica California to further develop his craft. While attending their two year intensive Meisner Program, Adam continued to write and sell scripts. Adam acts in film and television productions and continues to develop his innate talent as an actor and screenwriter. Adam is the writer of “Man Down,” a film in pre production with Stephen Mceveety and Mpower Pictures producing, Dito Monteil directing and Starring Shia Lebeouf, Kate Mara and Gary Oldman. Adam also wrote and co-starred in “Synapse,” a Sci Fi thriller which is produced by Brian Brosnan of Hollywood Locations and L.A. Center Studios with Kenlon Clark Directing.

Best known for his role as Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, Tom Felton joins the Wizard World tour for a special Q&A with his fans! Hear behind-the-scenes stories about his life and career and learn where Tom plans to take his next adventure!

MARVEL COMICS AT 75 with DANNY FINGEROTH & AARON SAGERS (CONFERENCE C) In 1939, Marvel Comics #1 debuted, unleashing The Sub-Mariner and The Human Torch on the world, and launching what would come to be known as the Marvel Universe. Danny Fingeroth(Spider-Man; The Stan Lee Universe; longtime Marvel writer/editor, researcher on Taschen’s upcoming 75 Years of Marvel: From the Golden Age to the Silver Screen) and Aaron Sagers (Paranormal Pop Culture; MTV) present an illustrated tour through the more than seven decades of the phenomenon that is Marvel.

Gamers are more connected than ever with social media, so why limit potential roleplaying game sessions to those dusty “looking for gamers” boards at local game stores? Join Robert Duncan, Pathfinder Venture Captain and Paizo 4-Star GM, for a panel that allows you to leverage the same internet cat video posting technologies to experience an epic online gaming session for your favorite roleplaying game system!

1:00 – 1:30PM BLOOD ON THE BAYOU WITH RUTINA WESLEY (ASSEMBLY HALL)
Rutina Wesley is best known for the character Tara Thorton, on HBO’s gritty Southern vampire drama, True Blood. Rutina’s portrayal of Tara Thornton, a character whose caustic tongue and tough manner conceal her vulnerability, helped make True Blood a cult hit. The success of True Blood shocked naysayers when the vampire soap opera became a favorite of both critics and audiences alike. Now she joins her fans for her very first Wizard World appearance to answer your burning questions!

1:00 – 1:45PM WRITING COMICS THAT MATTER with KINGS IN DISGUISE’S JAMES VANCE & IRON MAN’S DANNY FINGEROTH (CONFERENCE C)
James Vance is best known as the writer of the Eisner and Harvey award-winning graphic novel Kings in Disguise. The story of Fred Bloch, a boy who hits the road in 1932 at the height of the Great Depression and gets caught up in the labor movement, hobos and the Ford Hunger March in Dearborn, it's a model of what the graphic novel can be and a great work of historical fiction. Over the course of his career, Vance has worked as an editor and written a long list of comics ranging from Aliens and The Crow to Predator and Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight. He also wrote Neil Gaiman's Mr. Hero–The Newmatic Man in the '90s. Vance has also scripted the conclusion to Omaha the Cat Dancer, the cult favorite series originally written by his late wife, Kate Worley. In 2013, W.W. Norton released Vance and artist Dan Burr’s On the Ropes, the sequel to Kings. Today, Vance and Danny Fingeroth (Darkhawk; How to Create Comics from Script to Print) discuss Vance’s life and career and also give you some pointers on—and answer your questions about—comics and graphic novel writing.

Best known for her television roles as Faith on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, as well as the two Fox series, Tru Calling and Dollhouse, Eliza Dushku takes to the Wizard World stage for an up-close experience with her fans! She’ll share stories, give a behind-the-scenes look at her career, and answer your burning questions!

1:30 – 2:15PM BEHIND THE MUSIC WITH WORLD OF WARCRAFT COMPOSER JASON HAYES AND CRITICAL HIT EXECUTIVE PRODUCER MICHAEL GLUCK (CONFERENCE A)
A multiple award-winning composer, Jason Hayes is well known for his long-standing relationship with Blizzard Entertainment, contributing music to their games set in the popular World of Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo. He was the original lead composer of World of Warcraft, the most successful online game in the world. Jason's music has been performed by symphony orchestras all over the world in various concerts and now he joins the Wizard World tour for an exclusive Q&A with his fans!

Water is the most common chemical compound in the universe. It is essential to life on Earth and, presumably, elsewhere. It is considered so important to life that NASA’s mantra for searching for life on Mars and elsewhere is “Follow the water!” Where off Earth can we find water, and, presumably, the chance for extraterrestrial life? Find out as we follow through our solar system and beyond.

2:00 – 2:45PM MONSTERS AND MAGIC WITH THE MONSTER GUYS (CONFERENCE C)
The Monster Guys, D.C. and Michael McGannon, go in depth with new monsters and legends found in their writings and in cultures around the world. Most tantalizing, sometimes terrifying, and almost always laugh-out-loud bizarre. The Monster Guys take you deep into the systems of magic used by the Monster Hunters found in their books...all the way down to the real, historical roots of the magic that has been used throughout the ages. Be there to experience the spooky and spectacular world that creeps, crawls, and slithers in with the Monster Guys! (Also, they have goodies for everyone in attendance!)

2:45 – 3:30PM NOW YOU WILL RECEIVE US: THE BOONDOCK SAINTS (ASSEMBLY HALL)
The bad boys of the blockbuster picture The Boondock Saints, Sean Patrick Flanery and David Della Rocco, will be storming the stage in style at Wizard World. Join one half of the MacManus brothers and Rocco as they share stories and give fans a behind-the-scenes look into this iconic film!

2:30 – 3:15PM 5 ANIME GENRES TO START TODAY BY TOKYO IN TULSA (CONFERENCE A)
Have you heard the term "anime" but never knew where to start? Come join us as we talk about anime that have something for everyone - Mystery, Horror, Mecha, Josei and Shonen. As you get an introduction to these genres, several of Tokyo in Tulsa's Assistant Directors will also share some great titles for you to check out from each!

3:00 – 3:45PM HISTORY OF VAMPIRES: FROM NIGHTMARES TO DAYDREAMS (CONFERENCE C)
It's easy to look at vampires today and wonder, what happened? How did they go from being monsters under the bed waiting to kill us to sparkling, jealous man-children standing next to it watching us sleep? A lot of folks place the blame on Twilight, but does it go deeper? Is there any one point in history that we can point at and say "ah-ha!"? Come join me,Jason Petty, and delve into the mysteries of vampire lore, explore the oldest myths, the famous legends, and "facts" of vampires throughout history in an attempt to make sense of how Vampires went from being the stuff of nightmares to the subject of daydreams.
