Award Winning William Shatner, “Captain Kirk” of Start Trek is the Featured Guest at Wizard World Comic Con in Reno, Nevada

San Francisco, CA – Nov. 21, 2014. Maskapade, (www.maskapade.com) purveyors of cosplayer apparel and accessories, is offering tickets for fans to meet William Shatner.  The renowned actor, writer, producer is the featured guest at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, Nevada on November 21-23, 2014.

The global icon, widely known as “Captain James T. Kirk” of the 1960’s hit TV series “Star Trek”, stated, “Being an icon is overrated, remember an icon can be moved by a mouse”. Since, Shatner has appeared in the Star Trek featured films, lead actor as the police sergeant in “T.J. Hooker” and attorney Denny Crane in “The Practice” with its spinoff “Boston Legal. He has also appeared in  Miss Congeniality, American Psycho II, 3rd Rock from the Sun, and dozens of other TV productions, films, as narrator of shows and documentaries.

Shatner is the first Canadian actor to appear on several successful shows on three major networks, winning three Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe Award.

Aside an acclaimed actor, author, producer, director, he has taken offbeat roles such as the “Negotiator”, celebrity spokesperson for the Priceline.com, voice of Don Salmonella on the animated series “The Gavones.”

As an author, Shatner has several books under his Captain’s chair, sharing his  memoirs from the Star Trek series, as well as several science fiction novels such as “TekWar”, inaugurated into films on TV. He is currently writing “Catch Me Up”, about people over 50 who have struggled with their careers and how they have reinvented themselves. The successful actor states, “I’ve been unemployed over 400 times in my life. More importantly I have had to reinvent myself 400 times to get re-hired by TV shows, movie producers…when I was over 60 years old.”

Shatner will be joined with Norman Reedus of “Walking Dead”, Bruce Campbell of “Spider-Man” and “Evil Dead”; Lou Ferrigno of Incredible Hulk; The King of Queens; Hercules and dozens of other actors, artists, writers, and comic creators are scheduled to attend (see guest list).
